This course teaches students how to calculate the number of forest carbon sinks through forest measurement techniques and provides them with an understanding of how forest carbon sinks are converted into carbon trading processes and the knowledge and skills required. Forest measurement will teach students how to carry out basic tree measurement, with the material accumulation to calculate forest accumulation and growth, and then with the relevant coefficients, estimate the number of forest carbon sinks. In addition, students are taught about carbon trading mechanisms, trends and development constraints in international forest carbon trading, and are able to acquire key skills in forest carbon credits, leading to the ability to write forest carbon credits projects independently.

1. Have forest measurement capabilities and can be applied.
2. Understand the forest carbon sink estimation process and have estimation skills.
3. Understanding forest carbon trading mechanisms and development opportunities
4. Capacity to write independent forest carbon credits projects
